Please read these Terms carefully before using 1STBOND. By creating an account or using the 1STBOND mobile application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Services. 1STBOND is a safety tool designed to reduce risk during in-person meetups. It is not a guarantee of safety.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and 1STBOND LLC governing your access to and use of the 1STBOND mobile application and all related services (collectively, the “Services”).
By creating an account, completing identity verification, or otherwise accessing the Services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference. By tapping “Sign Up,” “Create Account,” or “Sign In” in the app, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notification and email at least 30 days before they take effect.
The 1STBOND app displays simplified summaries of these Terms in the app interface. Those summaries are provided for convenience only and do not modify these Terms. These Terms control in the event of any conflict.

To access most features of 1STBOND, you must create an account and complete identity verification. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information up to date. You may update your email, password, and username at any time in Account Settings.
1STBOND requires identity verification before you may participate in meetup sessions. Verification is performed by our third-party identity verification provider. By submitting to identity verification, you consent to:
Providing false, fraudulent, or misleading information during identity verification is a material violation of these Terms and will result in immediate account termination and may be reported to applicable authorities. In the event of a false positive or verification error, you may contact support@1st-bond.com to request manual review.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at support@1st-bond.com if you become aware of any unauthorized use.
1STBOND grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Services for their intended purpose: facilitating safer in-person interactions between verified users. The Services include:
You agree to use the Services only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with these Terms.
The following conduct is strictly prohibited and constitutes a material violation of these Terms, resulting in immediate account termination without notice or refund:
You may not create an account using false information, impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your identity. This includes submitting fraudulent identity documents or using another person’s identity to complete verification.
You may not use the Services to harass, threaten, intimidate, stalk, or abuse any other user or third party.
You may not use 1STBOND to facilitate, arrange, or coordinate any transaction or activity that violates applicable law, including the sale of controlled substances, stolen goods, illegal weapons, or any other contraband.
You may not submit false safety reports, trigger false emergency alerts, or misuse any safety feature of the platform. Submitting a false or bad-faith report is a violation of these Terms and may result in immediate account termination.
You may not disclose, share, publish, or otherwise distribute the personal information of another user obtained through your use of the Services.
ENFORCEMENT. Any violation of Section 5 will result in immediate, permanent account termination without prior notice. We reserve the right to report violations to law enforcement where the conduct may constitute a criminal offense. No refund or credit will be issued upon termination for cause.
1STBOND provides secure in-app messaging between verified users. Messages are visible only to the two parties in a conversation. Message content may be accessed by 1STBOND staff only when necessary for safety enforcement, violation investigation, or legal compliance in connection with a reported safety incident. Messages may not be used for harassment, threats, spam, or any content that violates these Terms.
You may report or block any user from their profile or from an active message thread via the three-dot menu. Report categories include harassment, fake identity, suspicious behavior, and other. Reports are reviewed by our safety team. Blocking immediately prevents the blocked user from contacting you, viewing your profile, or appearing in your search results. You may unblock a user at any time through Account Settings.
1STBOND LLC will review all reports and may take enforcement action including account suspension or permanent termination. We are not obligated to disclose the outcome of any report to the reporting user. For urgent safety concerns, contact support@1st-bond.com directly.
To create a meetup, you set a location (using your current location or by typing an address with autocomplete), date, and time, then generate a unique alphanumeric meetup code. You may share this code via SMS or in-app message. When shared in-app, the receiving party sees a direct Join Meetup button specific to that code.
The face scan window opens 6 hours before the scheduled meetup time and closes 10 minutes before the meetup. You will receive reminder notifications at 6 hours, 1 hour, and 20 minutes before your meetup. If either party fails to complete their face scan before the 10-minute mark, 1STBOND marks the meetup as Unverified and discloses to all parties to proceed at their own discretion. Completing a face scan does not guarantee that the other party has also scanned or will attend.
If a meetup is marked Unverified due to failed or incomplete face scans, users are advised to exercise their own judgment about whether to proceed. 1STBOND LLC bears no responsibility for outcomes of Unverified meetups.
Built-in GPS navigation to the meetup location is available to all users on both Free and Premium tiers. When navigating, you may select routing preferences including Fastest route, No Tolls, No Highways, and similar options.
You may optionally open the meetup destination in a third-party mapping application. If you use this option, your meetup destination address is passed to the app you select, subject to that app’s own privacy policy. 1STBOND LLC is not responsible for how third-party mapping apps handle that data.
Live tracking, including recommended departure time and the other party’s ETA, is available only to Premium meetup hosts. The other party in a Premium meetup does not need to be a Premium member to participate, but will not receive live tracking unless they are a Premium host.
You may clear your meetup history at any time from the Meetup → Past tab. Clearing your history hides records from your view but does not immediately delete them from our systems. Meetup records are retained for up to 90 days as described in our Privacy Policy.
IMPORTANT — PLEASE READ. 1STBOND is a technology platform that provides identity verification, in-app messaging, GPS navigation, and safety tooling to help reduce risk during in-person meetups. These tools are designed to lower risk, not eliminate it. THE SERVICES DO NOT AND CANNOT GUARANTEE SAFETY OUTCOMES.
By using 1STBOND, you acknowledge and agree that:
BY USING 1STBOND, YOU KNOWINGLY AND VOLUNTARILY ASSUME ALL RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH IN-PERSON MEETUPS FACILITATED THROUGH THE PLATFORM, INCLUDING THE RISK OF BODILY INJURY, DEATH, OR PROPERTY DAMAGE, WHETHER CAUSED BY THE NEGLIGENCE OF 1STBOND, OTHER USERS, OR OTHERWISE.
If you are in immediate danger, call 911 or your local emergency services. Do not rely solely on 1STBOND.
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, 1STBOND EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL 1STBOND LLC BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
1STBOND LLC’S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO 1STBOND IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100).
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless 1STBOND LLC and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to: your use of the Services; your violation of these Terms; any in-person interaction you engage in through or facilitated by the platform; or any content you submit, post, or transmit through the Services.
We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account at any time for any reason, including violation of these Terms, conduct that poses a risk to user safety, or provision of false information during registration or verification.
You may terminate your account at any time via Settings → Account → Delete Account, or by visiting 1st-bond.com/delete-account, or by contacting support@1st-bond.com. Upon termination, your right to use the Services ceases immediately. Data deletion will be handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
Sections 8, 9, 10, 11, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, and 18 of these Terms survive termination and remain in full force and effect.
If you believe your account was suspended or terminated in error, you may submit a written appeal to support@1st-bond.com within 30 days of the termination notice. Your appeal must include your account email and a clear explanation of why you believe the action was taken in error. We will acknowledge your appeal within 5 business days and provide a final decision within 30 calendar days. Appeals do not guarantee reinstatement but will be reviewed in good faith.
The free tier includes 2 meetups per week. All free tier meetups include built-in GPS navigation to the meetup location, with route options (Fastest, No Tolls, No Highways). Live tracking, recommended departure time and partner ETA, is not included in the free tier.
Peer-to-peer payment functionality between users is not currently active. When introduced, full payment terms including processor information, refund policies, and dispute procedures will be provided with at least 30 days’ advance notice. 1STBOND LLC will not act as an escrow agent and will not guarantee transactions between users.
All content, features, and functionality of the Services are owned by or licensed to 1STBOND LLC and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of content you submit through the Services (such as profile information, messages, and ratings). By submitting content, you grant 1STBOND LLC a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, store, and display that content solely to provide the Services.
Ratings and feedback must be truthful and may not be defamatory, harassing, retaliatory, or otherwise unlawful. Submitting abusive or false ratings is a violation of Section 5 and may result in account termination.
The Services integrate with trusted third-party providers to deliver core functionality, including identity verification, secure cloud infrastructure, mapping and navigation services, subscription management, and error monitoring and diagnostics. Each provider is contractually restricted from using your data for independent purposes.
When you submit a government-issued ID, our identity verification provider (Didit) processes the full contents of that document. 1STBOND LLC does not store your residential address, ID number, or expiration date in our own systems. The face match result from your initial biometric verification is stored securely in 1STBOND LLC’s own database and used for pre-meetup face scan authentication throughout your use of the platform. We may request access to full identity document data from our verification provider only for fraud investigation, legal compliance, or safety enforcement.
Your use of third-party services is also subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. 1STBOND LLC is not responsible for the practices, availability, or accuracy of any third-party service.
Before initiating any formal legal proceeding, you agree to contact us at support@1st-bond.com and attempt to resolve the dispute informally. We will make reasonable efforts to resolve the issue within 30 days.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any dispute not resolved informally shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Denver County, Colorado.
PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY. IT AFFECTS YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS.
Except for disputes that qualify for small claims court, any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services shall be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by JAMS under its Streamlined Arbitration Rules. The arbitration shall be conducted in Denver, Colorado. If you are unable to travel to Denver, the arbitration may be conducted remotely by videoconference or, at the arbitrator’s discretion, in the county of your primary residence.
You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by sending written notice to support@1st-bond.com within 30 days of first accepting these Terms. Your notice must include your name, account email, and a clear statement that you are opting out.
TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, YOU AGREE THAT ANY DISPUTE RESOLUTION PROCEEDING WILL BE CONDUCTED ONLY ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS AND NOT AS A CLASS, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION. YOU WAIVE YOUR RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT OR CLASS-WIDE ARBITRATION.
Any claim arising under these Terms must be brought within one (1) year of the date the cause of action arose, or it is permanently barred.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and 1STBOND LLC with respect to the Services and supersede all prior agreements, representations, or understandings. The 1STBOND app may display simplified summaries of these Terms within the app interface. Those summaries are provided for convenience only and do not modify these Terms. These Terms control in the event of any conflict.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. For material changes, we will provide at least 30 days’ advance notice via in-app notification and email. Continued use of the Services after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
1STBOND LLC shall not be liable for any failure or delay in the performance of the Services arising out of or caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: acts of God, natural disasters, pandemic, war, terrorism, civil unrest, government action, power or internet outages, third-party service provider failures, cyberattacks, or any other event that makes performance commercially impracticable.
